Tonight the contestants change partners. They will draw a name out of the hat each week to find out who their partner will be. Another major change this week is that the judges do not have the final say as who goes anymore. It is all based off votes, and you vote for the individual dancer not the couple. The last change is that each dancer will each perform a solo.

So, let’s get to it…

Noelle & Ryan – hip hop by Tabitha & Napoleon. Song – “Give It To Me Right” by Melanie Fiona. It was a cute routine, but I don’t think that hip hop is supposed to be cute.

Nigel – It was a really good fun routine and you had good chemistry.

Mary – Good job.

Adam – It was all good.

Ashleigh & Legacy – contemporary by Gary Stewart. Song – “Poison” by The Prodigy. Weird song. It didn’t feel like contemporary. Danced well. It looked like they were fighting. It seemed a little long. I got bored.

Nigel – It was absolutely fantastic.

Mary – WOW! That routine was a fight to the finish.

Adam – You guys didn’t look afraid. Fabulous!

Mollee – solo – Jazz. Song – “Rock The Beat” by LM*AO. It was good, but she looks so young! It is hard to look past that.

Russell – solo – crump. Song – “Outros” by Black Milk. Crumping is weird, but he did a great job. He is one of my favorites. He showed a lot of new stuff.

Kathryn & Nathan – broadway. Song – “Choreography” by Danny Kaye. Kathryn looks adorable. Super cute routine. I loved it.

Nigel – I thought that you both found that style absolutely perfectly.

Mary – Absolutely marvelous.

Adam – Great job.

Noelle – solo – contemporary. Song – “Everytime It Rains” by Charlotte Robins. Good – very happy.

Ellenore & Jakob – quick step. Song – “Four Brothers” by Mathattan Transfer. I just don’t like ballroom. It was okay.

Nigel – Fun routine

Mary – You guys were given some tough stuff and you conquered it.

Adam – You guys were so fantastic.

Ryan – solo – ballroom. Song – “Rock You Like A Hurricane” by Scorpions. At least he had a shirt on. It is hard for ballroom dancers to do a solo. It was pretty good.

Kathryn – solo – contemporary. Song – “Beautiful” by Bethany Dillon. She did a good job. She doesn’t seem as powerful as some of the other dancers, but I like her.

Mollee & Russell - lyrical jazz by Mandy Moore. Song – “It Must Have Been Love” by Roxette. I was surprised, but it was really good.

Nigel – Absolutely beautiful choreography. Congratulations.

Mary – Talk about chemistry. Everything was so believable.

Adam – I couldn’t be more proud.

Nathan – solo – contemporary. Song – “Golden Train” by Justin Nozuka. Wow. He is good. He is not one of my favorites at all, but he did a good job. On no, the MAN TEARS! Boo!!

Noelle & Ryan – smooth waltz. Song – “Jeux d’eau” by O (Cirque du Soleil soundtrack). This was one slow dance. I guess it was pretty.

Nigel – You look like a prince & princess at the end of a Disney movie falling in love.

Mary – Good job.

Adam – I was breathing with you, it was that good.

Ellenore – solo – jazz. Song – “Beatbox Harmonica” by Yuri Lane. She has a unique style. I am not sure if she is going to get the votes she needs to stay on the show.

Ashleigh & Legacy – hip hop. Song – “Slow Down” by Bobby Valentino. Ashleigh way out danced Legacy. It wasn’t as good as their last number.

Nigel – I didn’t feel it.

Mary – Didn’t like it.

Adam – Needed to be taken up a notch.

Kathryn & Nathan - Rumba. Song – “Walk On By” by Aretha Franklin. Pretty good.

Nigel – Failed to get chemistry between the two of you.

Mary – Passion wasn’t there. There were some awkward moments.

Adam – Good job.

Legacy – solo – b- boy. Song – “No Air” by Jordan Sparks & Chris Brown. He is good, I don’t know how he does all that stuff on his head. But, the man tears! BOO!!!

Ellenore & Jakob – contemporary by Sonya Tayeh. Song – “Tore My Heart” By OONA & Dave Tweedie. Weird, but I really liked it. Sonya is probably the perfect choreographer for Ellenore.

Nigel – Brilliant! Incredible chemistry. This is my favorite routine of this season.

Mary – Whoo!!! It was great!

Adam – This is going to leave an impression on the audience of this show for a long time.

All the judges screamed and gave a standing ovation.

Ashleigh - solo – ballroom. Song – ” Batucada Por Favor” by Bob Azzam. She tried hard, but again it is hard for ballroom dancers to dance their solo.

Mollee & Russell – jive. Song – “Land of 1000 Dances” by Jimmy Barnes. Fun routine. It was very fast.

Nigel – You are such good performers, as well as good dancers.

Mary – Hot Tamales.

Adam – I am feeling it. I am feeling so good about this pairing.

Jakob – solo – contemporary. Song – “Always Midnight (acoustic)” by Pat Mohanhan. He is really talented as well. Hi is very flexible.

Tonight’s show was good. I don’t even know who will be in the bottom, maybe Nollee and Ryan. I guess we will find out.

• Better Off Ted: Season One- I thought that Better off Ted was one of the best new shows last year.  A cross between The Office and Arrested Development yet still completely original.  While the show is great, the DVD release is a bit of a disappointment with no extras on it and no Blu-ray, but having every episode of the first season is enough to make it worth buying.

• Saturday Night Live: The Complete Fifth Season

10. MODERN FAMILY- ABC, 2009-present: Now I love Modern Family, but with only 9 episodes under it’s belt it’s too early to put among the 10 best shows of the decade.  In a few years I might look back and admit I was wrong, but I couldn’t include it.
9. LOST-ABC, 2004-present: I have to agree will this one.  Even with a season or two that were stinkers Lost has kept me coming back again and again.  For me it really all hinges on the upcoming season.  It is ends well then It should be there, but if it doesn’t it could knock it off my list.
8. 24-Fox, 2001-present: Another solid pick in my opinion. Like Lost it’s had some seasons that were less than stellar, but it did introduce us to one of TV’s great heroes, Jack Bauer.
7. 30 ROCK-NBC, 2006-present: Once again, dead on.  One of the funniest and most clever shows on TV.
6. MAD MEN-AMC, 2007-present: I;m on the fence about Mad Men being on this list.  I’m going to have to think long and hard about including it in my top 10.
5. DAMAGES-FX, 2007-present: Not really a fan of Damages.  Wouldn’t make my top 20.
4. THE SHIELD-FX, 2002-08: I missed out on The Shield, but I’ve never heard anything but great things about it so I can understand why it would be on someone’s list.
3. CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM-HBO, 2000-present: Yes, Yes, Yes
2. THE WEST WING- NBC, 1999-2006: Another one that I missed the boat on.  I was in college when West Wing, and not really interested in this type of series so I never watched it.  It will be on many top ten lists I’m sure.  I love Aaron Sorkin (Sports Night would be in my top 10 of all time), so I’m sure this show was great.
1. THE SOPRANOS-HBO, 1999-2007: No surprises here.  Maybe one of the greatest shows of all time.

DarinIsLost-

• I’m thankful for Lost.  It has survived long enough to come to its natural conclusion.  Most serialized TV shows get cancelled before their time and an ending is simply fabricated.  Let’s hope they end this right.
• I’m thankful for being able to pause live TV.  I can start an American Idol results show 2/3 of the way through, skip past all of the filler and still catch the ending right along with the rest of the world.

JoanieCan’tDance-

• This year I am thankful for Psych, How I Met Your Mother, The Office & 30 Rock for making me laugh; All the Real Housewife’s for sharing all the crazy drama; and to SYTYCD for the entertainment. I am also thankful for my DVR. Without you, I would never get to enjoy all of my favorite shows.

Morate-

• The return of Curb Your Enthusiasm. The near-heroic levels of sarcasm on this show warm my heart. It’s been nice to see the Seinfeld cast again too, but Larry’s the true star of the show.
• I’m not sure who gave the programming controls to the Metalheads out there, but I’d like to buy them a shot of Jagermeister. VH1′s That Metal Show and Fuse’s Talking Metal are standouts of the resurgence. Rawk!
• Via Netflix, I’m catching up on Dexter. I totally missed it the first time around due to my lack of Showtime. This show is dark and dirty, and did I mention the main character has very few redeeming qualities? I can see why the networks were so afraid of this show. Dig it.
• The wife is thrilled to have a second helping of So You Think You Can Dance this fall. And, as you married guys know, it’s good to have a happy wifey.

Her & Him-

• HER: Tony’s truth serum induced rescue of Ziva on the season opener of NCIS.
  HIM: I absolutely love NCIS. The season opening was pretty great.
• HER: The Good Wife.
  HIM: Have never seen The Good Wife – don’t need to, I already have one. (Love ya babe)
• HER: Tom DeLay’s broken whatever that finally bumped him off Dancing With the Stars since the judges were apparently too dumbstruck by his ridiculous old man Republican hip shakin’ booty to do it.
  HIM: Ok, I’ll say it, I’m ok watching Dancing With the Stars – the women’s dance outfits are worth the time.
• HER: My husband doesn’t watch NASCAR.
  HIM: I don’t get NASCAR – go straight, turn left, go straight, turn left – um, ok?!
• HER: Phineas and Ferb.
  HIM: Phineas and Ferb
• HER: My daughter has finally outgrown Noggin.
  HIM: Unfortunately, she’s picked up watching videos on CMT with her mom. :-/
• HER: PBS.
  HIM: PBS is now on our radar again.
• HER: There are only a few weeks when the Mavericks and the Rangers overlap. Even fewer since the Rangers blew the last half of the season.  (I’m not saying I’m thankful the Rangers blew the last half of the season. I was rooting for them. But come on, how freaking long can one season be? Oh wait, that question can be answered by the NBA.)
  HIM: Yep, I love watching sports on TV
• HER: Grey’s Anatomy is good again.
  HIM: Grey’s Anatomy is good again.
• HER: That we only have one TV in our house and I am frequently reminded of the depths of my husband’s love. Case in point – last night, he watched Donnie Osmond take home the Glitter Ball trophy on Dancing With the Stars, even though the Mav’s were playing.  I’ll return the favor, of course, when I watch seven football games with him on Sunday. But that’s why God created DVR. Which I’m also thankful for.

• I’m thankful for my wife, who let’s me watch as much TV as I want.  I’m thankful for my newborn son whom I look forward to imparting my love of TV on, but I promise to make sure he goes outside and plays as well.
• I’m thankful that Ed O’Neill and Katey Sagal, or Peg and Al Bundy one of the most iconic married couples in the history of television, have found home on two of the best shows on TV.
• I’m thankful for the two best new shows of the season, Modern Family and Glee.
• I’m thankful for HBO and their wonderful shows True Blood, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Big Love, Bored To Death, The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency,and of course the upcoming mini-series The Pacific.
• I’m thankful that AMC has started producing quality television that rivals any other network on TV, including HBO.  Mad Men and Breaking Bad are both amazing.
• I’m thankful that Kurt Sutter created the world of Sons of Anarchy, and took us along for the ride.  As season two comes to an end I can honestly say that I believe it is currently the best hour of TV on.
• I’m thankful for the great people who write for this blog.  You make my life easier, and I really appreciate it.
• I’m thankful for this blog and all its readers.  When I started this thing about a year and a half ago I never imagined that anyone aside from a few of my friends and family would read it.  This month we’ve had over 30,000 visitors, and that blows my mind.  We have some big changes coming up, and I hope that everyone keeps coming back.  As long as you are reading we will be watching.

While I think that one is great, I’m a big fan of this as well.  Pretty much anything CollegeHumor does is great.

Mykelti Williams, who is most well known for playing Bubba Blue in Forrest Gump will be the head of the newly reorganized CTU.  Sounds good. I feel like shrimp for lunch.

Looks like the Sons of Anarchy are getting ready for war.  SAMCRO has gotten everyone important to them into the clubhouse and put it on lock down.  They don’t want any of their families or friends hurt in what’s about to happen.  They’ve also brought in some outside charters to help them out.  In the chapel they run down the plan to get their guns, clear Chibs with Jimmy O, and turn Weston and others against Zobele.  They are organized and they are ready.  They briefly discuss Half-Sac after they find out that his body rejected the implant.  It’s good to see Clay with such a clear head all of a sudden.

Jax, Opie, and Juice go to tell Weston about Zobele’s dealings with the Mayans.  Of course Weston is pissed about Jax busting in his house and messing with his sons.  He also has no idea that Jax and the Sons know about what he did to Gemma.

Chibs meets his wife Fiona at a park and he tells her that he wants to get her out since the ATF is aware of Jimmy O and they are planning to take him down.  Clay has arranged for the Belfast charter of SOA to watch out for Chibs daughter.  While the two share a brief moment in the bathroom at the park, she doesn’t seem sure about leaving.  Clay and Bobby meet with Jimmy O and tell him that it’s really the Hayes’ who’ve turned on the Irish, they give him photos that Unser took from the ATF as proof.

Back at the clubhouse Gemma and Tara are sitting at the bar when a “croweater” offers Tara some coffee.  At first she refuses, but Gemma insists that she needs to take advantage of it.  She tells her that people need to show her respect in Charming, since she’s Jax Teller‘s old lady.

Clay and Jax meet with the Niners and the Asians.  They explain that they have a common enemy, Zobele.  They hatch a plan to wipe out Zobele and the Mayans wich is good business for all.

Weston finds Zobele’s drug house and busts in killing the two workers and Ule after he tells Weston that the guns went to the Mexicans, corroborating what Jax told him.  Back at the club house Chuckie has resurfaced with burns from the Cara Cara fire.  He agrees to file a report that Weston torched the studio and is sent outside while the grown-up talk shop.

Over at the IRA safe house Polly is leaving and Agent Stahl heads in to talk to Edward.  She warns him that if he doesn’t give up Jimmy O she will “bury him.”

Polly arrives at the cigar shop and Weston bust in with some of his Aryan Brotherhood goons and pulls a gun on Zobele for betraying the cause.  Polly pulls a gun on Weston and Zobele is able to calm them all down enough to at least put down the guns.  Weston is pissed and is starting to get a little irrational.  He’s playing right into SAMCRO’s hands.  Zobele tells his daughter to call Hale and get some cops over to watch her and the store while he goes for more new protection.  Weston arrives at the Charming PD as his sons are being taken away by social services since he left them alone in a house with loaded firearms.  Jax, Opie and Juice show up and set up a time for a fight between the ten best of Weston’s crew and the ten best of Jax’s, no weapons.

Inside the police department Hale tells Chief Unser about the killings that Weston committed and he thinks it’s SAMCRO’s work.  Unser tells him that it isn’t, and it doesn’t matter anyway since it didn’t take place in their jurisdiction.  At that pint Hale notices Chuckie and asks why he’s there.  Unser informs him that he witnessed who burned down CaraCara.  Hale has a tail put on Jax and Clay.

Gemma and Tara are out running errands and have a little heart to heart about their roles in life.  Tara’s role is healing and Gemma’s is to be a fierce mother. 

Over at the safe house Jimmy O shows up to pick up the guns, at least that’s what Edward and the ATF watching the house think.  Jimmy and SAMCRO trick both of them into leaving and get their guns.  After the guns are loaded up in the van Clay, Jax, Tig, Bobby and a few others head to the Army-Nay surplus store to continue the ruse.  Of course Jimmy O isn’t there, and neither are the guns.  When Stahl asks where Jimmy O is the Sons plead ignorance of who he is, and Stahl hits Chibs.  They open the create that is supposed to have the guns in them  but contains only two dead rats, meant as a message for the Hayes’.

Over at the hospital Tara is catching up on her charts when Margret Murphy, the administrator who suspended Tara walks in.  Murphy starts to bully Tara, and Tara turns on her.  Telling her just how much she pity’s her.  When Murphy calls Gemma a whore Tara goes after her and assaults her, warning her that if she does anything about it that she will be in big trouble.  Oh and while Murphy is keeping quiet she should drop the claim against Tara.  Murphy is scared, and it looks like she’s done bullying anyone.  Way to go Tara, looks like she’s embraced being an old lady after all.

The crew heads off to meet Weston, and  Gemma consoles both Tara and Lyla as the guys ride off being tailed by the cops that Hale put on them.  The Sons wait on Weston to show up, and when he does his guys are armed to the teeth.  At that point Both LaRoy and Lin show up with their crews tilting the scales in SAMCRO’s favor.  After Weston’s guys put down the guns, they fight goes as planned until the cops show up.  When Hale gets there it’s only the Sons and Weston left.  Hale arrests Weston for burning down the studio, and Clay and the crew call Unser and head over to Zobele’s cigar store.

Unser send the cops watching the store away and waits for Clay to show up.  When Clay shows up he tells Polly to call her dad.  At that point Zobele walks in.  Clay tries to get him outside so he can take him outside of Charming to kill him.  At that point Hale and the two cops that Unser sent away come back in and see what’s going on.  Unser tells them all to leave since he’s the ranking officer there.  As Hale and the other two cops begin to leave Zobele tells them that he and his daughter are in possession of some heroin and it’s under the counter.  Smart move.  He realizes that they will last longer in jail than they will on the street with SAMCRO after them.  As he’s being arrested Jax tells Zobele that they are still going to kill him.

Thoughts and Observations:

• Wow, I mean WOW.  Sutter and crew really out did themselves.  I loved season one, but man this season has blown it out of the water.  No sophomore slump here.
• I was a little creeped out when Zobele left Polly at the cigar shop.  That kiss he gave her was a little more than a father should give a daughter.
• Zobele left to find new protection.  I can only assume that he was going to enlist the Mayans.
• With Weston and Zobele behind bars I guess the attention turns to clearing out the Mayans.  SAMCRO made a promise to the Lin and LaRoy to help clear them out.  Wonder how long it will take before the Asians and the Niners turn on each other?
• Looks like Half-Sac is going to get his top rocker.  I’ve been waiting for this.  He sure as hell has earned it.
• Tara’s turn in this episode was AWESOME!  “No THIS is assault!”
• What was that whole thing with the guy from the Tacoma charter and Tig?  There is some sort of beef there, I hope it get’s explained in the finale.
• Jax is responsible to Weston’s kids being taken away.  “At least I didn’t gang rape them.”
• During the fight Tig bit one of Weston’s guys ear off.  This is why Tig is so great.
• I’m not making any predictions for the finale, but I do think that Unser will step down at the end of the episode, and next season will be all about Hale vs. SAMCRO.
• I can’t wait for next week.  FX isn’t sending out the preview screeners until the day it airs, so don’t ask me what happens.  I don’t know any more than you do.
